Rotarians help youngsters broaden their horizons

Almancil International Rotary Club (AIRC) has for the fourth year running sent two young people to the International Rotary Club Camp in Manchester, UK.

The camp is organised by the Rotary Clubs of Boulton Daybreak and Westhoughton and brings together 16 and 17 year olds from different countries, all sponsored by their local Rotary Clubs to experience and share the cultures and outlooks from their respective backgrounds.

A spokesman for AIRC said: “This has proved to be one of the most successful ventures by AIRC’s youth programme, giving some young people an opportunity they would not normally have to travel and to broaden their understanding. For some it has been the experience of their lifetime.”
