Rotarians enjoy charity country fest

Rotary Club of Almancil hosted a Country and Western Fun Day on October 15 at Castelo do Moinho in Loulé, raising €1,800 for local charities.  

The event was attended by more than 200 people, who enjoyed the music performed by J.J. Johns.

Among other attractions was a Fashion Hair Show overlooked by the event’s main organiser Rotarian Uschi Kuhn of Almancil IRC, a Spanish beer stall, German sausages on the BBQ washed down by the finest wines and a stall full of home baked cakes and aromatic coffee.

The event was also attended by local Rotarian dignitaries including Assistant District Governor Silvério Guerreiro, Bill Mahoney, President of Estoi Palace IRC, Isabel Flores, President of Silves RC, and Rotarians from Praia da Rocha and Albufeira as well as from other countries visiting the area.
