ALGARVE’S KISS FM radio station was at Ronan Keating’s concert held last Thursday at Freeport in Alcochete (Lisbon).
Ronan mentioned to the crowd of around 4,000 fans that he supports the Make Poverty History Campaign and pointed out how important the G8 Summit was to Africa. Ronan will be at the Edinburgh Live8 concert on Wednesday, July 6, to support the campaign (read Focus: Africa Special Report on pages 50 and 51).
In an interview, Ronan mentioned that he really loved Portugal and his home here was only “down the road” at Quinta do Lago, where he lives for about three months of the year. He likes Quinta do Lago as “its peaceful” and “nobody bothers me”.
Ronan played his best known songs, such as When You Say Nothing At All, Life Is A Rollercoaster, The Way You Make Me Feel, If Tomorrow Never Comes, Father And Son and Words, and some new songs from his forthcoming album.
