Ronaldo’s “offensive marquise” dismantled

After the hue and cry raised over a ‘marquise’ (covered veranda) constructed on the roof terrace of his new apartment in Lisbon (click here), Cristiano Ronaldo has been forced to have the structure dismantled. Reports today suggest the footballer and his family may have ‘lost’ their initial excitement in ‘the most expensive apartment in the capital’: the sports icon purchased a plot in nearby Quinta da Marinha, Cascais, recently, and is said to be building a ‘detached luxury home’ there. Meantime, writes Correio da Manhã, the pool water on the terrace of the Lisbon apartment is quietly turning green…
