“Ronaldo, your hair grows back. The rainforest does not”

Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo could soon be joining an environmentalists’ mission to save the world’s rainforests. That is, however, if all goes according to Rainforest Foundation Norway’s (RFN) possibly ingenious plan.
The Norwegian non-governmental organisation that works to protect rainforests all over the world has uploaded a video on YouTube asking Cristiano Ronaldo to join their cause to save the Amazon rainforest in Brazil by cutting and donating his hair to the organisation.
Their logic – if you search for “rainforest deforestation” on Google, only 1.5 million results come up; but if you search for “Ronaldo + hair”, over 30 million results are shown.
Thus, if the Real Madrid star got a haircut and donated his hair to the organisation, it would consequently increase awareness regarding the deforestation of the Amazon.
“Your hair grows back. The rainforest does not,” the video points out before ending.
The video has been gaining popularity in Portuguese media, but no word has come yet from Ronaldo or any of his representatives.
According to the RFN, an area the size of a football field is chopped down in the Amazon rainforest every three seconds.
