Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo has branched out into fashion with the launch of ‘CR7 Footwear’.
The new collection will be available for sale in the spring or summer of 2015 and will feature shoes that are 100% made in Portugal by some of the country’s “best producers”.
According to the shoe range’s official website, the brand will focus on producing shoes for the “premium and luxury fashion segment, based on Ronaldo’s identity, image and behaviour”.
The Portuguese shoe industry is widely praised on the website, which says it is “nowadays recognised as one of the best in the world, due to its design, trend, creation and manufacturing”.
It guarantees that all CR7 shoes will be “carefully designed and tested, using the finest available leather, and a perfect standard regarding fit and workmanship”.
