The annual public opening of the Roman Galleries on Rua da Prata in Lisbon will be between September 28 and 30.
This monument, which is rarely open due to the conditions of access, will be open between 10am and 6pm, with free admission and guided tours. It was discovered during the city’s reconstruction after the earthquake in 1755.
The structures were built by the Romans on unstable ground to create a platform which supported public buildings.
