Irish singer-songwriter Róisín Murphy is going to perform at Lux Disco in Lisbon on November 26.
Known for her electronic style, Róisín Murphy first came to note as part of the electronic music duo Moloko.
The band’s full length debut Do You Like My Tight Sweater? came out in 1995 and was a mix of dance, electrofunk, and club beats.
The duo produced four albums and several hits, including Sing It Back,The Time Is Now, and Fun for Me, until in 2003 they ended their romantic and professional relationship.
After the separation Murphy released her debut solo album Ruby Blue, written and produced with Matthew Herbert, in 2005.
Her second solo album Overpowered was released in 2007 and received a nomination for the Choice Music Prize in the Republic of Ireland, the award given each year to an Irish artist who has proved to produce a critically acclaimed album. She is currently working on her third studio solo album.
