A list of the latest inclusions to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have been released with the most controversial of the two entrants being the admittance of Metallica, the first metal group in the hall and Run-DMC, only the second rap group.
Other bands and artists to make it into the hall were guitar hero Jeff Beck, soul star Bobby Womack and rockabilly great Wanda Jackson.
As usual critics were looking at those who had failed to make the cut with more interest than those who made it in.
The Stooges were passed over again as were disco champions Chic and Latin funk pioneers War.
