A MAN was shot in the stomach during an attempted mobile phone robbery in Caxias, Oeiras, last week.
A police source said three assailants struck shortly after midnight in Rua São João de Deus. “The victim reacted and one of the attackers shot him at point blank range, wounding him in the abdomen,” said the source. The man was taken to São Francisco Xavier hospital where he remains interned. Police have made no arrests.
