THREE BRAZILIAN men were arrested last week in Tavira, suspected of holding up five petrol stations across the region in March.
Allegedly, they robbed petrol stations in Albufeira, Olhão and Boliqueime, accumulating an estimated 4,560 euros. The modus operandi was similar in all the robberies: they would firstly stake out the area, two of the men would then go into the shop, brandishing their weapons and demanding the money from the cash register.
When the men were arrested, two guns and a car were confiscated along with what is believed to be some of the stolen money.
