Road safety authority sends out alert over fraudulent emails

Portugal’s road safety authority has warned of a new phishing scam, involving emails informing people they have unpaid fines for offences caught on police radars. The campaign is apparently focused on obtaining people’s personal data. The emails look authentic, with official logos of police and the road safety authority. But they aren’t. Anyone with any queries should contact the ‘Autoridade de Segurança Rodoviária’ before following any of the emails’ instructions.
