Road deaths

Since the beginning of the year, 151 people have died in road accidents in Portugal.

This is an increase of 23 fatalities over the same period in 2009.

The A5 road between Lisbon and Cascais, the A1 between Lisbon and Porto and the IP3 from Coimbra to Viseu are considered to be the most dangerous roads, with the largest number of accidents registered, according to a report from the Road Safety Association of Portugal.
