Players from the Ripon Spa Hotel Croquet Club, North Yorkshire, were the latest guests to enjoy the superb facilities of the Bela Romão Croquet Club near Fuseta. Now with two lawns fully operational and a third due to be commissioned shortly, Quinta Marialva offers top quality croquet.
In a fun day of sport, it was the more experienced Ripon Spa who won 28 of the 36 games played and recorded 202 hoops against the host club’s 133.
Bela Romão has announced plans for a Singles Eurovision Croquet Tournament on Saturday, May 12 to coincide with the Eurovision Song Contest being staged in Lisbon.
Portugal hosts this year’s event following the country’s first victory last year in Kiev, Ukraine, with the song “Amar Pelos dois”, performed by Salvador Sobral.
