Rip roaring success!

Tavira 2nd Chance charity was delighted with the turnout for their recent fundraising afternoon at the Black Anchor Irish Bar.

The final total of €1,385 was way beyond their expectations as friends and members of the public supported the event which is part of the Tavira 2nd Chance programme to support families in need.

The lush vegetation of the Black Anchor courtyard garden provided a cooling ambience for the stallholders and musicians, led by Elsa Thomsen, as they serenaded visitors.

Kath Cox of Tavira 2nd Chance said: “We have been overwhelmed by people’s generosity, with the raffle alone raising €400. We would like to put on record our sincere thanks to everyone who supported us and a special ‘thank you’ to Joy Kennedy and the staff of the Black Anchor who have been so accommodating.”
