Clear blue skies and warm sunshine with light winds. Saturday, February 9 was a day made for motorcycling. Conditions were ideal for the Algarve Senior Biker members to enjoy a ride in the hills and take in some of the best views in the region towards the west and south coasts.
Four new members were welcomed at the start in Paderne and then it was off up the IC1 to São Marcos da Serra where the group of 22 riders headed west into the hills led by ASB group organiser David Shirley.
Martin Taylor did a great job riding at the back to make sure no one was left behind or got lost and Heather made sure no one escaped without paying for lunch by acting as cashier for the day!
A couple of stops were made for refreshments on the way and the day was completed with a hearty mixed grill lunch at Restaurante Maximino near Caldas de Monchique.
The next event will be on March 14.
Meet at 10am at the Petrofer service station near Junction 11 A22 Boliqueime for a ride to Almodôvar, with lunch near São Marcos da Serra.
