Riding for the Disabled Barlavento is holding a demonstration of its therapeutic work with disabled riders at the annual Fetaal Fair in Bensafrim, Lagos, on August 1 and 2 from 7.30pm.
The event aims to show the benefits achieved by riders when they connect with their horse.
Riding for the Disabled, described as “a very social group of many nationalities”, is currently looking for volunteers and will be available to discuss any details with interested persons. Training sessions will start in September and are held most Thursdays and Friday mornings at the QPA Horse Riding Centre in Bensafrim.
Meanwhile, the Fetaal Fair will also include many stalls selling local produce and handicrafts. There will be entertainment for the whole family.
