OVER 20 riders attended a lecture and demonstration on lunging techniques and long reining using both the English and Continental methods at Pinetrees Riding Centre on February 19.
Pru Clayton Mead also demonstrated how lateral work can be used to improve the horse’s basic pace and how working the horse from the ground is a valuable method of training.
“This event provided a great opportunity for riders to exchange ideas, advice and information. We plan to hold more in the future, watch this space!” said Beverley Gibbons of Pinetrees.
