Olhão wildlife rehabilitation centre RIAS is undergoing renovations to the tune of around €50,000 provided by the Fundo Ambiental (Environmental Fund).
The improvements were sorely needed to address some of the main issues affecting day-to-day work at the centre.
Among the upgrades are renovations to mammal recovery facilities and the creation of a reptile centre.
