Portimão’s 19-year-old Inês Gomes led her country into an initial 18th place after the opening day at the 18th Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Japan earlier this week. Her team mates Jessica Jardim and Sara Caetano were lying in 48th and 77th place respectively at the start of Tuesday’s second event.
