Monte da Palhagueira Retirement Village is hosting a 10th anniversary Open Weekend on September 26 and 27.
The development, for the over 55s, is a place for people who want to retire under the Portuguese sun without having the burden of household and garden chores.
Guests will be able to view the village, situated in a picturesque setting near the market town of Loulé, consisting of 36 individual villas, town houses and apartments all built in traditional Portuguese style.
Facilities include village hall, a church, Le Marquis restaurant, doctor’s surgery, hairdresser, two swimming pools, a tennis court, putting green and Boule pitch.
At the open weekend there will be opportunities to meet the owners, have guided tours of the facilities and available properties.
The development was recently voted Best Retirement Development at the Home Overseas Awards.
The Open Weekend will take place from 10.30am – 5pm on both days.
