A demonstration against the government’s ‘lackluster’ support measures for restaurants, bars and shops will take place tomorrow morning (November 21) in Faro at 10.30am. The meeting point will be the town’s docks.
Part of the ‘Pão e Água’ movement, the protest aims to show how so many business owners and workers in the Algarve feel “forgotten” by their government.
Protests have already been held in Lisbon and Porto and saw demonstrators clashing with police and journalists.
Thus organisers are calling on all protestors to “respect authorities and all those present,” as well as wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.
