Resort short-listed for awards

Vale do Lobo, voted the Best Luxury Development in the 2004 Homes Overseas Awards, has been short-listed for five categories in the 2005 awards. Now in their second year, the Homes Overseas Awards, which are sponsored by the Daily Telegraph newspaper and British Airways, have quickly become a hallmark of excellence for the property industry. Originally drawn from the five most popular destinations for Britons, the awards have been expanded to include a total of eight popular destinations – Portugal, France, Spain (and its islands), Cyprus, Central and Eastern Europe, Italy, South Africa and the US (Florida). To have reached the short-list stage is a considerable achievement as the 2005 Awards have been even more hotly contested, with hundreds of entries competing from around the globe.

Vale do Lobo is delighted to have been short-listed once again for both Best Luxury Resort and Best Portuguese Villa, in addition to Best Landscape Design, Best Portuguese Apartment and Best Golf Resort. Members of an expert panel of judges, comprised of architects, journalists, surveyors, designers, landscaping and golf experts, are expected to visit the resort later in 2004 to make their assessments. The winners are due to be announced at the 2005 ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel in London, England.
