Just as incoming airline passengers have been dispensed with providing negative tests for SARS-CoV-2 when they enter Portugal – as long as they can present a valid Covid Digital Certificate – the requirement for the presentation of passenger locator forms has been reinforced. Referring to a decree dated last year, the government stresses that the filling out of these forms allows health authorities to “effect follow-up of contacts relating to confirmed cases of Covid-19, and this way stops, at an early stage, possible chains of transmission”. In a communiqué issued this morning, the government says the forms should be filled out “electronically” after people effect check-in and “before the time of embarkation”.
