A piano recital performed by musician Luís Conceição, at Ermida de São Sebastião in Tavira, is scheduled for September 14 at 7pm. The show is included in the ‘Músicas nas Igrejas’ (Music in Churches) project, organised by Tavira’s music academy.
Conceição has already written and recorded 200 songs since 1993 in a variety of styles including ethnic and jazz.
He was born in 1974 and began studying music at the tender age of five at the regional music school Conservatório Regional do Algarve, where he completed a piano course.
At an older age, he was able to complete two higher education courses: science of music and piano.
He has worked as a hired musician, as well as a piano and music history teacher in several music schools across the country.
As an artist, he has played on numerous national and international stages either solo or accompanied by orchestras.
