Managers at Lagos Zoo have decided to help towards reducing global CO2 emissions through the use of renewable energy systems.
The zoo will invest €25,000 in a solar project with J. F. Vilhena – Material Eléctrico, Lda.
Work will start this month on the 18 solar panels of 230W each and a solar thermal water heating to reduce the emission of several tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere.
