The widow of former BPP boss João Rendeiro has reportedly had to ask family and friends for the roughly €10,000 needed for transportation to Portugal of the body of her husband (found dead in his South African jail cell two weeks ago). National media suggests the body will arrive at some point today, while the investigation into the circumstances of Mr Rendeiro’s death “has still not been closed”.
