President Marcelo has rubber-stamped the government’s diploma making remote working from home in Portugal obligatory to the end of the year. Says a note on the president’s official site, “in view of the sanitary reasons invoked, and despite the obvious limitations that may result for collective entities, the President has promulgated the government’s diploma extending the exceptional and transitory regime for the reorganisation of work and minimization of risks of transmission of the Covid-19 disease in the scope of industrial relations until December 31, 2021”.
