Portimão Câmara is due to develop a rehabilitation plan for the city centre.
This project will allow the traffic from Praia da Rocha to access directly the area of the old bridge across Teixeira Gomes square.
The plan also includes reversing the traffic direction in Rua Júdice Biker and proposes the construction of a building near the old bridge with 180 parking spaces and housing.
Part of this plan includes a proposal to construct a building for housing or hotels at Largo do Dique and a parking space for 300 cars behind the old theatre.
Portimão Câmara also has plans to improve the area near the railway line.
