THE ALGARVE’S gastronomic fraternity, Confraria dos Gastrónomos do Algarve, launched 20,000 examples of a regional bilingual food passport and guide for tourists at Portimão Museum on Friday, October 24.
The new product, which includes a souvenir passport and a 360-page guide with local recipes, is aimed at giving visitors more knowledge about the Algarve’s traditional food heritage.
The guide also comes with six vouchers worth 10 euros each for visitors to spend in restaurants mentioned.
The gastronomic passport and accompanying guide can be bought for 10 euros in the Algarve’s tourist information offices or via the websites, available in Portuguese only, at www.cgalgarve.com or www.gastronomias.com
