For the fifth year, Quarteira will play host to the Surfóreggae Summer Edition festival, which this year will be taking place on August 19.
The mini festival promises to combine the best reggae music with surfing and other sporting events and will feature different live acts at the venue on Passeio das Dunas, located next to the Porto de Pesca in Quarteira.
This year Beat will be opening the show, a band from Luanda in Angola who shot to fame after they released their album Dance Mwangolé in 2009. They will be followed by Marrokan, a promising new band on the Portuguese music scene, and Sons of Revolution, a band from Faro.
The final act of the night will be the Stepline Project, a band that mixes electronic music with ethnic instruments including the didgeridoo to create a texture of sounds set to the beat of house music.
