Refugee march

A march to “stand up for refugees’ rights” and ensure they are provided a “safe passage” through Europe will be held in Lagos on Saturday (February 27). It will begin at midday near the marina bridge and end at Praia da Batata.

The event is part of the ‘European March for Refugee Rights’, to be held in 55 European cities over 16 countries.

Elsewhere in Portugal, marches will take place in Lisbon, Coimbra, Porto, Braga, Viana do Castelo and Funchal.
