The trend in Provence style rosés seems to be catching on only very slowly here in Portugal, and never one to be left behind, the Douro’s Dirk Niepoort has made a radical change in his shade of pink.
Until just two years ago, Redoma rosé was one of the few in Portugal to have opted for the full and rich style of rosé, almost the colour of a claret in the 2010 vintage and lightening up a little for the 2012, only to make a radical change and present this salmon pink wine for the 2013 vintage.
Light, fresh and clean in the style of good Provence rosé, it is good value for money from this premium quality Douro producer at €8.99 in Apolónia.
