Portugal’s Red Cross will be holding food drives in all of Portugal’s Continente supermarkets over the ‘Liberty Day’ weekend of April 24 to 26.
Shoppers are encouraged to donate anything they can, but especially “baby food, milk, powdered milk, tinned goods, flour, olive oil, cereal, rice and pasta”.
Donations will then be delivered to families in need.
