More than 70 players took part in the first Torneio de Golfe Solidário at the Quinta da Ria course on August 6 to raise awareness about the work of the Red Cross in Tavira.
Alberto Morais had the best gross score with 30 points, while the best net score for the men came from Henrique Uva with 42 points and Pam Kimberly and the best net score in the ladies competition with 38 points.
Other winners included Mário Pinto Ribeiro who was the men’s nearest the pin winner, Angelika Grandi who was the nearest the pin ladies’ winner and Julian Berg who was the best junior player with 32 points.
A spokesman from the Red Cross in Tavira said: “We would like to thank everyone for helping to raise the awareness of the Red Cross here in Tavira with special thanks to Quinta da Ria for organising a great tournament.”
