Albufeira’s municipal archaeology museum has achieved record visitor numbers, with an increase of 40 per cent in the last two years.
According to Albufeira Câmara, the museum was visited by a total of 5,457 people in 2008, which increased to 8,894 people in 2009.
The majority of visitors are of foreign nationality, with May having been a very popular month for visitors.
