A GROUP of 26 diabetics from the Associação de Jovens Diabéticos de Portugal, a national association for people suffering from the disease, reached the top of the Toubkal mountain, in the Atlas Ridge, 63 kilometres to the south of Marrakech, in Morocco.
After four days and 58 kilometres walking, the group reached the top on October 3 at 10am. The youngest member was aged 16 and the oldest 50. All participants suffered from Diabetes type 1 and 2.
