Welders, welding inspectors, fabricators, electricians, shot blasters and painters… Large warehouses to store drilling equipment and pipe-yards. A heliport and helicopters overhead going back and forth … All this 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Mr Sheppard, Environmental Services Engineer, paints a picture of the benefits of oil and gas drilling that is my idea of hell. Whatever reservations I may have had about the ASMAA petition have been dispelled by this account.
