Padre Nuno Coelho will be the celebrant on Sunday, November 15 at 4pm in Carvoeiro for World Day of the Poor. This is an initiative by the local parish priest, who has set himself a challenge to improve his spoken English while ministering to his expatriate flock.
This series of English Masses in Carvoeiro will be held the third Sunday of every month, from now on. The whole Mass will be in English: the readings, the hymns as well as the Order of Mass. Everyone is welcome even if you do not normally attend this church.
COVID-19 rules apply, and all are asked to bring their masks.
As this Sunday is World Day of the Poor, a collection for the Food Bank will be held – “so please bring a contribution with a long shelf life”.
Attendees will also be able to view the finished artistic renovations by Lígia Rodrigues, especially the colourised front-door panels and the etched glass windows.
