The Royal British Legion is preparing for a busy few weeks.
The RBL is again holding its Wednesday lunches at the Holiday Inn Algarve in Armação de Pêra, with the next one on May 16, starting at 12.30pm. The price for the buffet style lunch is €14 per person (excluding coffee).
The theme this month is spring while at the Wednesday Lunch on June 20 the RBL will be celebrating the summer.
Queen’s Diamond Jubilee
The Royal British Legion is also busy preparing for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations in the Algarve, which commence on May 26 when there will be bowls, tennis, golf, riding, a gala dinner and a garden party (also see advertisements on pages 8 and 12).
RBL is organising the bowling which will be held at St. António Grass Bowls Club, in Alvor, on Sunday, May 27 at 11am. Tickets for the gala dinner at Le Meridien Penina in Portimão on June 1 are now also available.
Together with the Madrugada charity, the RBL will be at the garden party taking place at the Sheraton Pine Cliffs in Albufeira on June 2 from 2pm to 6pm, raising much-needed funds for their worthy causes.
Eddy de Bie will again be making a cake so go along and guess its weight!
