More than 50 members and guests of the Royal British Legion (RBL) attended a celebratory lunch at the Holiday Inn Algarve on September 15.
The lunch was to mark the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and included a talk and slide show by Captain Ewan Watson, who is attached to NATO headquarters in Lisbon.
The next event to be held by the RBL will be the monthly lunch on October 20 at the Holiday Inn Algarve, followed by a Poppy Ball on November 6 and a Remembrance service on November 14 at St Lukes Church, Monte Palegueiro.
