EWAN RANKIN won his own golf tournament on April 6, taking the Rankin Bros. & Sons Trophy, a feat he has performed twice before. Rankin’s 38 Stableford points led Kevin Raftery with 34 and last month’s winner Kate Scheier with 33 points.The Golfe do Estoril course was in top condition, thanks to recent rain.Forty-one members and guests of the Royal British Club Golfing Society (RBCGS) competed for the top prizes in the Society’s third event of the year. Sponsors Ranking Bros. & Sons provided special prizes reflecting the company’s cork business. Using products from the Alentejo, prize designer and wife of Ewan, Karena Rankin, showed-off her well-known imagination and artistic skills.
