The Parkalgar Honda team enjoyed mixed fortunes at the latest round of the World Supersport Championship in Brno at the weekend.

While Miguel Praia suffered technical problems and failed to finish the race, Algarve No1 Eugene Laverty took the chequered flag in fifth, the eleven points gained made all the more valuable by overall leader Cal Crutchlow zero return from the Czech Republic.

Laverty’s next opportunity to narrow the 17-point gap between him and Crutchlow will come on September 6 in Germany, hopefully preparing a nail-biting Portimao climax to the series come late October.
