Rotary Club Estoi Palace International is organising a charity quiz on October 19 at 7pm to raise funds for its ongoing project to supplement monthly food parcels for the underprivileged families of Estoi.
The venue will be the Aquarelle restaurant in Almancil, where a two course meal will be served prior to the quiz.
Attendees are asked to organise a team themselves if possible, otherwise the Club can set up teams.
More than three years ago, Estoi Palace Rotary set themselves the goal of providing a milk supplement to the monthly Food Bank distribution at the local Casa do Povo.
As a result, each child receives an additional six litres of milk per month; adults receive an extra litre.
Claire Larson from the Rotary Club said: “This ongoing commitment has kept us on our toes, using our bi-annual quiz nights to fund this project, and has also kept the club involved, as members physically buy and distribute the milk in the village.”
Quiz and dinner cost €20 per person. A raffle with “great prizes” is being held in the evening.
