A charity quiz event at Quinta das Oliveiras in Poço Barreto, Silves, on December 10 raised a total of €761 in aid of animals, bringing the total raised over the year to more than €6,600.
Funds will go towards the Donkey Sanctuary in Estombar.
Participants also brought along dog food and toys that will be donated in time for Christmas to the animals.

The next quiz will take place in January, with a date yet to be announced.
