Quinta dos Vales winery in Estômbar has already begun preparations for its 11th Open Door (Porta Aberta) event, which will be taking place on October 5 and will be open to all.
“This event is the ideal platform for the launching of new wines,” organisers told us. “We will present our ‘Primeira Selecção’ red 2011, and as always, there will be free tastings of many ‘Marquês dos Vales’ wines.
“Take advantage of the occasion and try ‘the best wine of the Algarve’,” they added.
There will also be live music, a dancing show, a fair of regional products, cooking demonstrations, workshops and horse parades, as well as guided tours of the winery and a prize draw.
The event will take place between 11am and 7pm and admission is free.
