Quinta da Saudade Restaurant and Bar, in Vale de Parra, near Gale and Salgados beaches, has reopened recently under new management.
Kath Campbell, sister and cousin of the owners of nearby Prima Pasta, is the new manager of the charming ancient building and she hopes to provide a warm welcome to customers old and new, as well as holidaymakers staying at the Quinta.
The menu offers a selection of homemade dishes from around the world, with hummus and falafel, a variety of fresh salads, marinated meats, curries and some traditional British favourites.
Using local wild herbs and special chutneys, Kath gives her dishes a personal touch and she hopes to offer a little extra choice to the vegetarians among us – “and all at very affordable prices,” she said.
The Quinta, which enjoys views over the valley, has a play area for children near the restaurant and an equestrian centre, from where open horse-cart tours are available to non-riders.
The bar and restaurant are open Tuesday to Sunday (inclusive) from 6pm.
