IF YOU ever had the urge to make a quilt, then now is your opportunity to get started! The Resident went along to Areia, near Cascais, to see what quilting is all about. There, we spoke to quilter, Angela Whiston, who was hosting a ‘quilt exhibition and coffee morning’, attended by members of International Women in Portugal (IWP) and invited guests. On display were some of the finest quilts you can imagine. Angela even dyes her own materials to get the right colour.
