A pomegranate fair will take place this Sunday (November 30) in Querença from 10am to 1pm.
The event is part of the ‘Mercado de Querença’ project, which brings a different themed market to the square in front of the small rural town’s church on the last Sunday of every month.
This time there will be a “pomegranate workshop” focusing on the healthy benefits of the fruit and how it can be used in all kinds of culinary delights.
Anyone keen to find out can sign up for the event, which begins at 11am, for just €2.
Besides the usual stalls selling local sweets, breads and handicrafts, there will also be a Zumba dance class, a sketching workshop and many other activities to keep visitors entertained.
