Considered by many as one of the many delights of Portuguese cuisine, the snail will be the star of the show at a festival in its honour at Querença this weekend.
The event will give visitors a chance to enjoy a variety of snail dishes as well as regional products and handicraft.
The festival begins on Saturday (May 16) at 4pm in front of the village church.
